Marisa G. Gomez
Ms. Gomez brings financial acumen, experience with complex business and fund structures, and experience counseling individual clients in high stress situations to her matrimonial practice at Cohen Clair.
Ms. Gomez began her legal career at Venable LLP, where she represented corporate and individual clients in high-stakes commercial disputes and investigations. During her time at Venable, Ms. Gomez completed a secondment in Morgan Stanley's Wealth Management Litigation department, where she represented Morgan Stanley and its financial advisors in arbitrations, litigations, and regulatory inquiries. Ms. Gomez earned her J.D. from Fordham University School of Law, where she was selected for Fordham's accelerated 3-3 Program and received the Archibald R. Murray Public Service Award for her commitment to pro bono work and community involvement. Ms. Gomez also holds a B.A. in Political Science from Fordham University. Ms. Gomez is admitted to practice in New York and is an active member of the League of Women Voters, where she volunteers as a speaker in classrooms across New York City to educate and inspire students to become civically engaged. Ms. Gomez lives in Manhattan with her husband.
