Mrs. Herring received her J.D. from N.Y.U School of Law in 2012, and her B.A. cum laude from Cal State Long Beach in 2006.

Latoya Herring brings a nuanced understanding of family law, shaped by her early career as a family law attorney with the Legal Aid Society in the Bronx, NY, and as a law clerk for the Hon. Alicea Elloras-Ally in Kings County Family Court. Since transitioning to private practice, she has dedicated herself exclusively to matrimonial and family law, combining litigation rigor with a deep commitment to client-centered resolutions.

Ms. Herring handles the full spectrum of family law matters, from high-conflict child custody and support disputes to the division of complex marital assets in high-net-worth divorces. She is equally adept at negotiating tailored settlements—such as prenuptial agreements and co-parenting arrangements—as she is at litigating contentious trials, including cases involving relocation disputes, enforcement, and parental alienation. Known for her calm yet assertive approach, she prioritizes her clients’ long-term well-being while navigating emotionally charged proceedings.

Admitted to practice in New York, Ms. Herring is an active member of the New York City Bar Association’s Family Law Section, often works with legal aid organizations to provide pro bono representation for underserved families, and was chosen as one of New York’s “Best Lawyers” by The Best Lawyers in America.

A native of Southern California, Ms. Herring currently resides in Brooklyn with her husband and child.
